We have a special prayer service at our church every Wednesday night. My 4-year-old son Brandon has been attending this prayer service since before he was born.
It’s no wonder he’s picked up a few of my prayer traits over the years.
Usually, if I finish praying before my prayer partner finishes, I usually say words of adoration to the Lord - like ”Thank You Lord” or “I Love You Lord” or “You Are An Awesome God.”
Well - this past Wednesday, Brandon decided to pray with my prayer partner and I. The three of us were holding hands and apparently Brandon finished before we did because as I was ending my prayer I heard Brandon saying….
“Thank You Lord Jesus”
“Thank You Lord Jesus”
“H - I - JÂ - K - L - M - N - O - P”
“Thank You Lord Jesus”
“Thank You Lord Jesus”
“Q - R - S - T - U - V - W - X - Y - Z”
“In Jesus name, Amen.”
Well, like I said, it’s not exactly The Model Prayer - but it was his own personal prayer to to the Lord.
In my imagination, I see Jesus smiling as He listened to my precious son thank him in the midst of his ABCs.
I’m so excited about this offer that I just had to share it with you!
Nest Family Learning has created an Easter Trilogy pack that helps teach children the true meaning of Easter through animated Bible stories.Â
I’ve already told you how much my sons and I have enjoyed watching “He is Risen,†the resurrection story.Â
Now we are going to own “Worthy is the Lamb,†the story of the crucifixion of Jesus and “The Kingdom of Heaven,â€Â which uses parables to teach children about the second coming of Jesus. This is an amazing value - you can own the complete Easter story from Crucifixion to Resurrection to Ascension for less than $20.      Â
This episode of the podcast begins a series of interviews with families who are actively teaching their children the Bible through Family Devotions.Â
Meet The Tuggles: Trent, Allison, Emmaline (4) and Micah (2). Listen in as they describe their nightly Bible story routine. You can learn more about The Tuggles on the family’s blog at http://www.domesticadventures.com
Our pray is that you will be encouraged and motivated by this interview and begin having Family Devotion time in your home.
If you need help finding resources or if you need someone to pray with you or if you’d like to share your family devotion routine with our listeners, email me at news @ teachkidsthebible.com or call our listener line at 888-294-1058.
Plus - my toddler, Bryce, sings his favorite song, “What a Mighty God We Serve!”
Be Blessed!
